Went out to try to run this evening for the first time in years, and look what happened to my shoe. So how much are good running shoes these days? Ugh...

New Accessory for Vango

The awning offers great protection again sun and rain, but now we're covered for skeeters, too. (Hope we don't have to use it too much, but it's good to have...)

Weekend Without

Some expected amenities, that is. Stove, A/C, and furnace. Didn't notice much yesterday because we were away from home. This morning, however, it's 41*/5C outside, and I'm craving eggs. New stove--gas!--will be installed tomorrow, and we're waiting to hear how soon we can get the heat pump replaced. As former backpackers, we should be well suited to coping with this.
