Well, That was a First for Me...

Showering with mosquitoes. You probably don't want to picture this at home. Enough said.

  1. Well. I could say that unfortunately, I have experienced that myself... mosquitos AND frogs... Yes. Frogs! I certainly don't recommend for anybody to picture that either!

  3. I'll bite: Where was that?! I'm surprised you didn't tell me that when you heard my story of the restroom with cows in it...

  4. In Cuba, secondary schoolers are taken to work on the countryside for weeks/months every school year... sort of like a temporary boarding school. (The Schools to the Countryside Program started back in the 60's...) Horrible conditions and food... but it was still FOOD, so it was better than what some students would have back at home in some cases. My privileged school (it was a music conservatory back then) only attended for about 20 days to a month every school year, if I remember correctly, and we used to be assigned easier tasks at better locations (i.e. working at hydroponics instead of at sugar cane fields...) so that our blisters were minor and we could still play our instruments... BUT going back to frogs, they were always present close to/in the rustic shower stalls and latrines we had there. Believe me, it's not fun to have a frog looking at you while you are trying to take a shower or going through some other activity in the bathroom... and if you are anything like me, you'd be staring at it all throughout the process, just trying to predict the moment in which it will decide to jump at you! LOL! No need to mention that mosquitos were everywhere... I guess by now you are probably sorry you even asked me... :(

  5. P.S. Not many people would attempt to take long showers, as you can imagine, although off the top of my head, I could think on a couple of better ways of encouraging water conservation! LOL!
