Visiting Hours

Hurricane is hanging with Holly who is in solitary after suffering a herniated disc on Saturday. Can't imagine how we're going to keep her quiet for the required four weeks.

Plans Out the Window!

We had intended to celebrate Valentine's Day and our anniversary with lobster and fondue at home. Then we saw the marquee at our nearby Mexican restaurant: fajitas for two, two margaritas, dessert, $20. Sold! (Any excuse for Mexican, really.) See our steak and chicken fajitas, all the trimmings, and a dessert I'd eat every day if I could.

One Excellent Hike (with apologies to friends who are freezing elsewhere)

It was a glorious day for a hike so we hit the trail system around our new home. Before we knew it, we had hiked five miles. Felt great and provided confirmation I did not need that new knee just yet.

Welcoming the Year of the Monkey

Hot Pot! Think Asian fondue with two broth options, mild and spicier (of course). We sat for hours dipping and eating beef, pork, shrimp, dumplings, noodles, mushrooms, and on and on. Perfect for a chilly winter day!
