Busy Day

Yesterday I went on a school trip to the DMZ. I was amazed at the lush forests we drove through in the northernmost part of the country. Complete contrast to the sprawl that is Seoul. (I asked a Korean colleague how long it would take to drive across the city. He said four hours--without traffic.) Later I gathered with former students for my favorite cold noodle soup, a walk through old town, and tea high above the city. How wonderful it is to travel half way around the world and feel like family.
