Tomorrow Will Be Better...

Very frustrating first day of class. The students are great, coming from Australia, Jakarta, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and, yes, Kentucky. (Really?!) But things were not as promised. The students didn't have the syllabus and hadn't read the book. No, wait, they didn't even have the book, and I don't know if the bookstore here ordered it. I usually am well prepared for teaching, and it felt awkward to have to re-group from the very first day. (I hope I still have students tomorrow.) So I am sitting in the international lounge drowning my sorrows with a bag of M&M's. Think I just set a record with two rants and one pity party in less than a week. Cr@p.
